When life feels full and time feels limited, planning a photo session can feel like just one more thing. Maybe it's been a while since you've been photographed, or maybe this chapter feels tender, new, or a little overwhelming. You don't need to have it all figured out. I'm here to guide you.
Your session can take place in your home, outdoors, or in a rented studio. Your Location Guide will walk you through choosing the right spot and we'll confirm the details together before your session. Studio sessions are available for an additional fee and are a great option if you want a simple, controlled environment.
During your session, I'll give you a prompt or a place to start, and then I'll step back. Some of my favorite images happen when I go quiet and just let you be together. Whether that's a family running through a field, a mama holding her bump in the light, or a newborn curled into a parent's chest, the real moments don't need much from me. If it feels like I've disappeared for a minute, that's on purpose. I'm still there. I'm just watching.
There are no strict rules for what you should wear. What matters most is that you feel comfortable, confident, and free to focus on being present in this chapter. I always recommend starting with pieces from your closet that you already love and feel good in.
If you ever want a second set of eyes, I’m always happy to help. Most of my clients send over outfit options, and I genuinely enjoy walking through styling together. You’re never bothering me. This is part of the experience.
When you send outfit photos, lay everything out together in natural light near a window, with indoor lights turned off. This helps me see the colors and textures as they’ll photograph best.
I'll start with a prompt or a place to begin, and then I'll step back. The goal is connection, not performance. Nothing forced. Nothing rushed. Your only job is to show up and be together.
Sessions move at a pace that feels right for you. I'll guide when it's helpful and go quiet when the moment is better without me.
If you have kids, your only job is to follow them. Don't redirect them to the camera. Don't worry about what they're doing. Their chaos, their silliness, the way you react to them. That's exactly what I'm watching for.
Leave your phone in the car or in my bag. Your hands should be free and your attention should be here. I'll take care of the pacing and the details while you focus on being present.
For maternity sessions, the pace is slower and more intentional. You don't need to do much. I'll position you in the light, give you something to focus on, and let the rest happen naturally
For newborn sessions, we follow the baby. There is no rush. We leave room for feeding, soothing, and settling. Some of the most beautiful images from these sessions happen in the quiet moments in between.
For extended family sessions, I'll take the lead on grouping and coordinating so you don't have to. We'll get the posed moments taken care of early, and then I'll step back and let everyone just be together. The candid moments between the big groups are always worth waiting for.
Every session is built around connection, not performance. I'll give you a place to start and then step back. The best moments rarely need much from me.
I'll give you a prompt to get started and then step back. Your only job is to show up and be together. The chaos, the laughter, the in-between moments. That's exactly what I'm watching for.
Unhurried and close. Whether it's just you and your little one or the whole crew, I'll guide you into moments that feel like your everyday life, just slowed down.
I typically wait until the day of your session to make weather-related decisions, since conditions can change quickly. If you have hair or makeup scheduled, I'll do my best to make the call the evening before. If someone in your group isn't feeling well, we'll simply find a new date. Your comfort always comes first.
Each session is designed to flow naturally and without rushing. I work intentionally to create a full, meaningful gallery within the time we have together. There is always room for pauses, movement, or quiet moments as needed.
For newborn sessions, I leave space for feeding, changing, and soothing so everyone stays comfortable. For maternity and family sessions, we move at a pace that feels supportive and relaxed. We go with the flow while making the most of our time together.
My editing style is natural and true to life. I'll remove temporary distractions like blemishes or scratches that weren't there to begin with, but I won't change what makes you you. I believe beauty lives in real moments, honest connection, and the way your life actually looks and feels right now.
Most kids do great when there's no pressure to perform. I build sessions around play, curiosity, and connection. If your little one needs to run, reset, or eat a snack, we roll with it. Some of the best images come straight out of the chaos.
Your gallery will be delivered within three weeks of your session. If your session includes film, expect three to four weeks to allow time for processing and scanning. You'll receive an email when it's ready.
I’m not here to pose you into perfection. I’m here to notice what’s already there. The connection, the quiet moments, the way this chapter feels right now.
The way you look at them without thinking. The way love shows up in the small, everyday moments. That's the good stuff.
Thank you for trusting me with this part of your story. It’s an honor to witness it and to turn these moments into something you can return to, again and again.
CAN’T WAIT TO HANG OUT WITH YOU.
