When life feels full and time feels limited, planning a photo session can feel like just one more thing. Maybe it’s been a while since you’ve been photographed, or maybe this season feels tender, new, or a little overwhelming. You don’t need to have it all figured out. I’m here to guide you.
Your session can take place in your home, outdoors at a location that feels like you, or in a rented studio. I’ll help you decide what makes the most sense for this season. From desert landscapes and quiet in-home moments, to studio light or urban settings, we’ll choose together. Studio sessions are available for an additional fee and can be a great option if you’re wanting a simple, controlled environment.
During your time with me, I’ll gently guide when needed and step back when it matters most. We’ll capture a few images where everyone is aware of the camera, but the majority of your session is about being present. I’ll watch for the in-between moments, the natural interactions, and the feeling of this season as it unfolds.
There are no strict rules for what you should wear. What matters most is that you feel comfortable, confident, and free to focus on being present in this season. I always recommend starting with pieces from your closet that you already love and feel good in.
If you ever want a second set of eyes, I’m always happy to help. Most of my clients send over outfit options, and I genuinely enjoy walking through styling together. You’re never bothering me. This is part of the experience.
When you send outfit photos, lay everything out together in natural light near a window, with indoor lights turned off. This helps me see the colors and textures as they’ll photograph best.
I’ll guide you with gentle prompts, light direction, or a simple plan that feels natural for this season of your life. The goal is connection and presence, with space for things to unfold naturally. Nothing forced. Nothing rushed.
Sessions move at a pace that feels right for you. If there’s a need to pause, reset, feed, soothe, or take a breath, we do exactly that. I value movement, natural interaction, and light that feels honest. I’ll guide when helpful and step back when the moment deserves space.
Feel free to leave the extras behind or in my bag. Phones, keys, and small items can stay out of your hands so you can stay present. I’ll take care of the pacing and the details while you focus on being here.
I typically wait until the day of your session to make weather-related decisions, since conditions can change quickly. If you have hair or makeup scheduled, I’ll do my best to make the call the evening before. If someone in your group isn’t feeling well, we’ll simply find a new date. Your comfort always comes first.
Each session is designed to flow naturally and without rushing. I work intentionally to create a full, meaningful gallery within the time we have together. There is always room for pauses, movement, or quiet moments as needed.
For newborn sessions, I leave space for feeding, changing, and soothing so everyone stays comfortable. For maternity and family sessions, we move at a pace that feels supportive and relaxed. We go with the flow while making the most of our time together.
My editing style is natural and true to life. I’ll gently remove temporary distractions like blemishes or scratches that weren’t there to begin with, but I won’t change what makes you you. I believe beauty lives in real moments, honest connection, and the way this season truly looks and feels.
Totally normal worry—but I promise, most kids don’t when we’re having fun and keeping things kid-led. I build the session around play, curiosity, and connection, not stiff posing or pressure. If your little one needs to run, reset, or take a snack break, we roll with it. Some of the best photos happen in the chaos anyway.
I’m not here to pose you into perfection. I’m here to notice what’s already there. The connection, the quiet moments, the way this season feels right now.
The way you hold your belly without thinking. The way you settle into your baby. The way love shows up in small, everyday ways. That’s the good stuff.
Thank you for trusting me with this part of your story. It’s an honor to witness it and to turn these moments into something you can return to, again and again.
CAN’T WAIT TO HANG OUT WITH YOU.
